Dion and the Belmonts

  • Reunion [Warner Bros., 1972] B+
  • 24 Original Classics [Arista, 1984]

Consumer Guide Reviews:

Reunion [Warner Bros., 1972]
Most rock and roll revivals are vitiated by the suave rhythms of the singers, but not this one--probably because Dion's adult music is folk blues rather than lounge pop. Most rock and roll revivals are vitiated by sheer failure of spirit, but not this one--probably because Dion did it for fun rather than to refurbish a sagging career. B+
