Clear, tuneful, hard-driving, this is one of those records that jumps you so good you may never think to wonder why they bothered. I did, however--occupational hazard, you know. Except for "Take Your Life," boyishly power-pop yet precisely as murderous as its title, I figure it must have something to do with the love of rock and roll. B
