This one, on a reputable soul label, with a singer who has already proved herself with the original--some would even say definitive--version of "Piece of My Heart," is a depressing failure, with a safe and sane selection of tunes ("By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "For Once in My Life") and totally unremarkable production. Great title, though. C-
