Searching the Consumer Guide database is done in two stages:

• The first attempt is to match the search string against the artist's complete name. Here, first name comes first.
• If the first attempt fails, we search for any artist name that includes the search name as a substring. If this search finds multiple names, you will be given a list to choose from.

There is also a full-text search tool, which will search all available web pages.
