Consumer Guide Reviews:

Energized [Bearsville, 1974]
Conceived in memory of Chuck Berry when Kim Simmonds began handing out Kenny Burrell chord books to his Savoy Brown cohorts in 1970, this band has taken a good idea way too far. Rod Price's ubiquitous slide and Dave Peverett's iniquitous rave are decent trademarks, but energized becomes enervating in the absence of dynamic changes. Is good competent rock really good and competent if its excitement never transcends the mechanical? Is that what getting off means? So maybe they're not good and competent. B-
