Consumer Guide Reviews:
Epiphany [Konvict/Nappy Boy/Jive, 2007]
Except for the aspiring knuckleheads' guide to getting her high enough to freak, an OK guy for a sex-seeking simpleton ("Bartender," "Yo Stomach"). **
Thr33 Ringz [Jive, 2008]
The erstwhile laughingstock finds himself in exceptionally good humor--wonder why. Detailing his fidelity on one track, elongating a lap dance on another, he's a decent guy in conceptual command of an aesthetic he invented. "Chopped N Skrewed," "Digital," "Karaoke"--he knows the score. He knows that when he puts away the Auto-Tune to emote a love song to his family, every breath, cough and finger-slip is a sound effect. B+
T-Pain & Lil Wayne: T-Wayne [self-released, 2017]
A goof for the record book slapped together in 2009, with Wayne ascendant and the Auto-Tune king jacking his steeze, is strongest at its silliest, natch ("Heavy Chevy," "Listen to Me") **
